ABOUT
AAU CHEERLEADING
On behalf
of the Amateur Athletic Union’s Cheerleading program you are invited to
become a part of one of the most fun filled, positive sports around. AAU
Cheerleading has become a place for all athletes, both girls and boys, to
learn teamwork, sportsmanship and get in shape.
AAU
Cheerleading was introduced at the 1997 AAU Junior Olympic Games in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
Over the past 10 years the competition has matured and improved
steadily, recording 420 athletes as the record attendance for the sport.
AAU Cheerleading's National Championships is held in conjunction
with the AAU Junior Olympic Games each year.
The AAU
Cheerleading Program is a national network for amateur athletes, coaches,
judges, and Cheerleading enthusiasts dedicated to improving and promoting
the sport of Cheerleading. Open to athletes from all other Cheerleading
organizations, AAU Cheerleading offers many competition opportunities. The
AAU Cheerleading Rulebook is online at www.aauCheerleading.org.
