ABOUT AAU DANCE

Uniting the art of dance with the athletics of dance, the AAU is proud to offer a Dance program.

Score4Dance/USA Dance has partnered with the AAU to facilitate dancers in stepping forward and taking their place among the ranks of AAU Junior Olympic Games and AAU National Champions.

The AAU Dance program offers something for everyone! Routines include solos, duos/trios, officers, military, novelty, prop, acrobatic dance, show production, co-ed, all male, high kick, ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, modern/abstract, clogging, DanceSport, salsa and swing.

Open to athletes from all other Dance organizations, AAU Dance offers many competition opportunities. The AAU Dance Rulebook is online at www.aauDance.org. You can also find event listings and other information at the AAU Dance website.

The AAU Dance National Championships are held in conjunction with the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Located in Detroit, MI for 2008, Dance competitors must compete and qualify at an AAU District or Regional Championship in each event they wish to be eligible in order to compete at the AAU National Championship.

The AAU Dance Program is a national network for amateur athletes, coaches, judges, and Dance enthusiasts dedicated to improving and promoting the sport of Dance. It is important for the public to know that AAU Dance is open to athletes from all Dance organizations.
